The vast majority of double doors manufactured in the UK have a rebated overlap on the meeting edges to allow the master door (active leaf) to close on to the slave door (inactive leaf). Where this is the case, mortice locks and latches will normally require a "Rebate Conversion Set" to enable them to be fitted and to function correctly. This version is suitable for use with our Premium Quality UK+ Modular Mortice Locks and Latches when fitting to doors with a 0.5" (13mm) rebate depth (see 'Related Items' below).
Conversion sets for 0.75" (19mm) and 1.0" (25mm) rebate depths are also available in this range to special order - please contact us for details.
Note: Rebate sets are generally lock/latch and manufacturer specific and are rarely universal or interchangeable. For this reason we recommend selecting your lock or latch first and then the appropriate rebate set via the relevant link on the lock/latch product page.
