Dull Black on Stainless Steel (DBK)A high quality, hard wearing Black (RAL 9005) powder coat finish on solid stainless steel giving a soft, semi-matt sheen. Depending on the product type, the sub-strata will be either SUS201, SUS304 or SUS316 grade stainless steel with each having varying degrees of corrosion resistance: SUS201 grade is suitable for general internal applications and for use externally in passive environments. SUS304 offers greater protection against corrosion and can be used for the majority of applications both internally and externally. SUS316 stainless steel is commonly referred to as Marine Grade and, as the name implies, offers the greatest protection. Recommended for use where humidity and corrosion levels are high such as coastal areas and other harsh environments (swimming pools etc), and for use on acidic timbers. Items fitted externally will benefit from an occasional wipe with an oil impregnated cloth to remove dirt and grime deposits.  |
