This high quality British made Mortice Nightlatch (slam lock) can be fitted as an alternative to more common surface mounted "Yale" type locks to provide automatic locking on main entrance doors. The latchbolt is withdrawn by key from outside and turn knob inside using a euro profile cylinder with integral thumbturn (or single cylinder and separate thumbturn), or by key from either side using a double cylinder (cylinders supplied separately). The latchbolt may be held back in the withdrawn position via the snib in the faceplate to prevent accidental lockout. CE/UKCE certified and fully compliant for use on FD30/FD60 fire rated timber door sets when used with appropriate intumescent material. Manufactured in Britain by Guardian Lock & Engineering.

This mortice nightlatch is suitable for FD30/FD60 rated doors in high-use settings. For full compliance on fire doors, this lock MUST be fitted with appropriate intumescent material on both door and frame.

To keep this mortice lock in optimum working condition we recommend a once yearly application of light machine oil (3 in 1). Wipe clean with an oil impregnated cloth.
