01 Mortice Privacy Locks for Door Knobs & Ring Handles

Mortice Privacy Locks are housed in the door edge & provide a simple locking function on bathroom or toilet doors. Privacy locks incorporate both a sprung latch bolt, operable by lever handle or door knob furniture, & a deadbolt normally operated by an internal thumbturn. The privacy locks detailed in this section have been designed & engineered specifically for use with door knob furniture & ring handles. The deep backset measurements ensure knobs are positioned away from the door edge to avoid rapping knuckles against the frame & the light sprung, two-way action allows knobs to be turned easily in either direction. Suitable thumbturns and external indicator/release furniture can be found in the relevant store sections.
