This high quality British made Mortice Nightlatch can be fitted as an alternative to more common surface mounted "Yale" type locks and is a popular choice for entrance doors on listed buildings where a modern lock would look out of place. The sprung latchbolt is withdrawn externally by key and internally by a separate thumbturn, door knob or half set of lever door handles. This lock is an excellent choice for both high quality residential and heavy use commercial applications and incorporates a heavy duty non-handed Roller Bolt latch for superior performance. Can be fitted to fire rated timber door sets in accordance with current regulations.
Select "Standard Sprung" for use with thumbturns or door knobs. Thumbturns should be of a type incoporating an 8mm square spindle or a relevant spindle conversion sleeve. Select "Heavy Sprung" for use with lever door handles.
For high security applications a suitable deadlock should also be fitted.
Can be fitted to double doors with rebated meeting stiles when used with the rebate conversion set in the Related Items section below.
