The Winkhaus FAB Concealed Flush Bolt System is a high security locking solution for double doors and is an ideal choice for inward or outward opening entrance doors. Operation of the integrated two-way lever on the FAB face throws two heavy duty 20mm shootbolts into the head and cill to secure the slave door. The AV2 lock on the master door has two high tensile steel hookbolts which automatically lock in to the FAB Slave lock as the door is closed to secure the two leaves together. The FAB lock is fully concealed when both doors are closed and it can only be operated with the master door open. An excellent choice for doors where lever handles are either not required or are of a type that are not suitable for lift-lever operated locks.
Finished in corrosion resistant Silver and supplied here as a complete set with master door lock, top/bottom shoots and keeps for taller doors upto 2781mm high. Individual component parts can be purchased via the relevant product link in the "Related Items" section below.
- Slave Door Lock Operation:
The top and bottom vertical shootbolts are thrown or retracted by operation of the FAB faceplate lever.
- Master Door Lock Operation:
When the door is closed, automatic locking takes place with 2 high tensile steel hooks engaging in to the FAB keeps rail without the need to lift a handle. When automatically locked, the AV2 lock can be additionally deadlocked by operation of the lock cylinder barrel. Upon exit, the cylinder is used to retract all of the main bolts plus the central sprung latchbolt thus negating the need for lever handle furniture. Depending on the requirement, lock cylinders can be key and turn type (external key/internal thumbturn), double cylinder (key both sides) or single cylinder (key one side only). Alternatively, a half set of lever handle furniture can be fitted internally to retract the hookbolts and latchbolt with the cylinder being used to throw and retract the central deadbolt. Fitting a full set of lever handles will require cylinder operation of the central deadbolt to deadlock the door.
- High Security:
AV2 locks have been tested in all frame materials to PAS23/24 Enhanced Security standards and are approved by the Police 'Secured by Design’ Security initiative and by the Master Locksmith Association’s Sold Secure Scheme.
- 25mm Throw Solid Brass Cobra Hooks:
High security solid forged brass and nickel plated anti ‘push-back’ hooks automatically locate behind the steel keeps for optimum security and help prevent forcing apart of the door and frame.

- High Performance Central Gearbox:
Tested to 100,000 cycles the sprung gearbox offers the lowest possible operating forces and helps prevent handle droop. Nickel plated sprung latchbolt and 20mm throw nickel steel deadbolt provide maximum strength in the centre of the door.
- Corrosion Resistant:
Winkhaus locks have a protective surface coating in excess of EN 1670 : 2007 Grade 4 which is designated as ‘Very high corrosion resistance’
- Weather Seal Compression Adjustment:
Enhanced bolt design and adjustment in the keeps provides low operating forces. With ± 2mm adjustment it is possible to adjust for misalignment of the door during and after installation.

This lock set is handed Left Hand or Right Hand and care must be taken to specify the correct hand when ordering.
For optimum security the master door lock should be fitted with a TS 007 3 Star cylinder (see our ULTION Maximum Security range) or a TS 007 1 Star cylinder with 2 Star cylinder guard (see our Adapta Prime High Security range).
If required, lever handle furniture can be self-sprung or unsprung either on backplate or on rose with seperate cylinder escutcheons. Handle backplates should be compatible with the lock centres measurement and fixing centres measurements. Please refer to the relevant technical drawings.
