Rising butt hinges are designed to lift doors slightly during the opening cycle to prevent damage to floor coverings & carpets etc. Fitted with a brass pin & heavy duty bronze skews for long life & high resistance to corrosion, this high quality Solid Brass version will raise the door by 13mm at 180°. The all non-ferrous construction makes the Self Colour version of this hinge particularly suitable for applications in high humidity or marine environments. Manufactured in Britain by Simonswerk UK.

These hinges are suitable for doors weighing up to 45kg in heavy-use commercial settings based on fitting 2 hinges.
Rising butt hinges are NOT designed to be door closing devices and are not recommended as such.
To keep these hinges in optimum working condition we recommend a once yearly application of axle or bearing grease. Check hinges occassionaly for dirt and wipe clean with an oil impregnated cloth.
This product is manufactured and hand finished to order. You should therefore allow 3 - 4 weeks for despatch.
