Cast in either solid Iron or Brass, this quality Rim Lock features distinct Victorian styling and is an ideal choice for period restoration projects where higher security locks are not required. The lock is non-handed to suit left hand or right hand applications without modification and can be used with any compatible rim knob furniture set.
Available from stock in Aged Iron with Brass trim or in Aged Brass or Aged Nickel finish. Lock images are shown with our Reeded Knobs in Aged Brass and Aged Nickel finishes which should be ordered separately if required.
This lock MUST be fitted with door knobs that are specifically designed for use with rim locks and latches. These will generally be described as being "Rim" pattern. NOT suitable for use with "Mortice" pattern knob sets or lever type door handles.
All of our rim locks and latches are designed for surface fitting to the opening face of doors (pull side). They are NOT suitable for fitting to the closing face (push side).
For best results and long life, this latch should be lubricated with a light machine oil at least once a year.
