Cylinder Rim Nightlatches are normally fitted to the inside face of inward opening doors. However, it is possible on some models to reverse the latchbolt making them suitable for doors opening out. When this function is required it is not possible to use the standard frame keep supplied and an alternative strikeplate has to be used instead. This Long Tongue Strikplate is designed with this purpose in mind and can be used with any of the nighlatches listed in the "Related Items" section below.
Use of this strikplate requires a section of the door frame stop to be cut away to accomodate the nightlatch body when the door is closed.
