The Ingersoll SC71 10 Lever Automatic Cylinder Rim Deadlock is, without doubt, the best lock of it's type ever made. Manufactured in Britain continuously for over 40 years since it's launch in 1969, the original Ingersoll lock is still the lock of choice for countless thousands of households and businesses worldwide. The 10 lever mechanism and automatic deadlocking action provided unbeatable security for the time and the lock is still widely recognised as a true high security lock. The deadbolt is automatically thrown as the door is shut and is retracted by operation of the internal handle or external cylinder. The internal handle can be deadlocked externally by a reverse turn of the key. In addition, the deadbolt may be held back to prevent accidental lock-out. The lock is non-handed to suit left hand or right hand applications without modification.
The lock is supplied complete with the classic 10 lever external cylinder mechanism and is available in a choice of three high quality plated finishes - Polished Brass, Polished Chrome or Satin Chrome.
For best results and long life, the internal moving parts of this lock should be lubricated with a light machine oil at least once a year. The external key cylinder will benefit from the application a specialist lock spray - do NOT use oils or WD40.
