Rustix Beeswax

A classic "Gothic Arrow Head" Tee Hinge from our hand forged Rustix Collection suitable for heavier doors up to 28" (726mm) wide and an ideal choice for solid oak ledged and braced room doors and passage doors etc. Forming part of our "Rustix" range this hinge is expertly hand crafted using hammer and anvil and finished in Rustix Beeswax for a highly traditional look and feel.

**NOTE: These hinges are sold and priced per single hinge**

Supplied complete with round-head slotted wood screws in matching finish.

Tee hinges are designed to be fitted to the opening face of doors with both the horizontal strap and vertical frame plate being visible when the door is in the closed position. As a rule of thumb, light to medium weight doors (soft wood, pine) will require hinges approx one third to half the door width. For heavier doors (eg solid oak) select a hinge one half to two thirds the door width. For doors over 84" (2100mm) high we recommend a third hinge fitted centrally.

Due to the hand forged nature of this product all published dimensions are approximate only.

To keep these hinges in optimum working condition we recommend a once yearly application of light machine oil (3 in 1). The finish on your Rustx Beeswax product can be maintained with a periodic application of quality beeswax polish. This adds further protection to the metal and helps to prevent any rust or white blooms forming. This finish is NOT recommended for external applications.
