Taking it's design inspiration from the William & Mary style of the early 1700s, our Classique 'Marot' Lever Door Handle is a fine choice for doors throughout the home. Forged from solid brass or solid bronze, the reeded section of the handle perfectly highlights the individualy hand finished nature of the product. The pleasing feel of the handle is further enhanced by the use of secure grub screw fixings to the spindle and the option of bolt through rose fixings. The handle is self-sprung making it suitable for light-sprung or heavy-sprung mortice locks and latches. Matching escutcheons and bathroom privacy turns can be found in the relevant store section.
The Aged Brass and Aged Polished Solid Bronze finishes are unlacquered 'living finishes' that can be polished regularly to retain their original look or left to further age and darken over time. The Dark Antique Solid Bronze finish has a rich, matt look when new, becoming lighter with use and acheiving a contrasting warmth and depth of character over time. The bright Polished Nickel finish has warmer, calmer tones than modern chrome finishes and is equally suited to both traditional and contemporary settings. All four finishes are suitable for internal and external use.
For best results use with tubular type mortice latches having an 8mm square spindle hole (UK standard size). The spindle supplied will suit doors up to 60mm thick.
When fitting to mortice locks or full case latches we recommend using a mixture of bolt through fixings and wood screw fixings. In some cases it may be neccessary to crop the wood screws to avoid fouling the lock/latch case.
Lubricate moving parts immediately after fitting and periodically thereafter - at least once yearly. Clean with an oil impregnated cloth to remove harmful deposits, especially when fitted externally.
One pair of lever door handles as described (2 handles, one for each side of the door) complete with through spindle, finish matched woodscrew fixings and optional bolt through fixings.
These lever door handles are a non stocked item and will normally need to be ordered in from the manufacturer. You should therefore allow approximately 3 - 5 days for despatch.
