With an austere, municipal look and feel our Battel Black Iron products are an excellent choice for Victorian town houses and rectory style properties. Using manufacturing techniques that have remained unchanged since the mid 1800s, this eggshell black finish is achieved by the application of a two-part paint and powder-coat process to smooth malleable iron castings.
Suitable for both internal and external applications, the finish can be kept clean by occasional wiping over with an oiled rag to remove dirt and grime deposits. Moving parts will benefit from the application of a light machine oil (3 in 1). Products fitted in coastal areas will require greater care and regular cleaning to remove salt spray deposits.
