Probably one of the best locks of it's type ever made, the 3K70 is a High Security Mortice Sashlock that has been a popular choice for domestic and industrial/commercial entrance doors for nearly a century. Incorporating the famous Chubb 5 Detainer mechanism the lock has excellent protection against all common forms of attack including a positive throw solid brass deadbolt with hardened steel anti-saw rollers and hardened steel anti-drill plates. Suitable for self-sprung lever handle furniture on backplate, or on rose with seperate keyhole escutcheons. CE/UKCE certified and fully compliant for use on FD30/FD60 fire rated timber door sets when used with appropriate intumescent material. Originally bearing the 'Chubb' name, this lock is manufactured in Britain under the Union brand name.
Recommended for door thicknesses from 44mm to 56mm.

This upright mortice sashlock is suitable for FD30/FD60 rated doors in high-use settings. For full compliance on fire doors, this product MUST be fitted with appropriate intumescent material on both door and frame.
This lock is medium sprung and should only be used with lever handle furniture with integral springing in the rose or backplate. NOT recommended for use with door knobs or ring handle furniture.

These locks are supplied "to differ" (individually keyed) with 2 keys per lock. If required, we can supply these locks in passing groups operated by the same key ("keyed alike" or "keyed to pass") to special order - please contact us for details.
To keep this mortice lock in optimum working condition we recommend a once yearly application of light machine oil (3 in 1). Wipe clean with an oil impregnated cloth.
